Farcaster is now open to everyone

Three years ago, Varun and I started working on a new social network. We didn’t know what shape it would take, but we knew it had to be sufficiently decentralized. We believed that if users and developers felt they were in control, they would be willing to invest their time and energy in building out the network.

Today, we’re excited to announce that our social network, Farcaster, is 100% permissionless. Anyone with an internet connection and some ether can sign up and use the network without depending on another person or organization.

We wanted to express our deep gratitude to the 100+ people who have contributed to and built apps on Farcaster, and of course, the thousands of early users who have helped build a vibrant community.
